Atty. Aimee T. Neri was, and still is, a well-loved former Deputy Commissioner. Known as an ardent advocate of good governance, she championed employees’ welfare, women’s rights and well-being of the marginalized.  She was also considered by BI as its erstwhile muse – an epitome of true beauty and perfection.   
 
Undeterred by a gamut of challenges, she pushed for employees’ sufficient augmentation pay that would alleviate their plight. As one of those who recognized the extremely low salary of the Bureau  of Immigration personnel, she spearheaded representations to increase their meager pay. She relentlessly justified to key officials in the legislative and executive branches the need to improve the benefits of Bureau  of Immigration human resource. As a result of her tremendous efforts, employees were allowed augmentation pay until the passage a modernized immigration law that will finally upgrade their salaries.

She brought this innate deep love and concern for people upon assumption of post as an Undersecretary of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). There, she continued to reach out to the underprivileged sectors of the community, making sure that they receive what is just and right.  As Undersecretary for Operations, successfully spearheaded the "Convergence"- a whole of the Government 

Approach under EO 137 which institutionalized the "Aid and Humanitarian Operations Nationwide" (AHON) Convergence Program. It aims to harmonize and accelerate the delivery of government aid and services, particularly food, non-food items, and livelihood assistance, to communities affected by disasters and emergencies. She also headed the distribution of the Social Amelioration Program (SAP) during pandemic.

Atty. Neri has also enjoyed her stint as a public servant upon her appointment as one of the Commissioners at the Commission on Elections, wherein she was able to lead the steps towards a clean and safe election with the current challenges being faced by the country; she embraced Chaired the Committee on New Normal and aid the countrymen in exercising their right to suffrage.
